I think it's literally sad and depressing that Naruto cannot accomplish things on his own and refuses to even try hard when faced with a tough enemy. He immediately get's angry or sad and let's the Nine-Tails out. At least other characters get their asses handed to them and try to improve, but Naruto always finds away to just push through each enemy without putting his own effort forth.
He worked to gain Sage Mode but allowed himself to be trapped and then unleashed Kyuubi. As usual, he fails to win on his own. Could this be a result of not being experienced in fighting without Kyuubi? Possibly. But lets look further. Time and time again except against Kakuzu Naruto needs help. No one would want to be so inept that they can't accomplish things on their own.
Now people like to bring up the curse seal and team taka when speaking about Sasuke, but we've seen that Sasuke can whoop ass without his team. Sasuke has wins and feats under his belt without outside powers. He's needed help here and there, but I'd say that the only time he used help unfairly was against Killer Bee. Against the Five Kage he was absolutely outnumbered but even when split off from his team he actually did quite well by himself.
Name one time Naruto took on multiple people in base form. I would never want to be Naruto. Naruto is so horrible that there were three instances in which he could have died in VOTE2.
