And yet look at what he still did. Itachi's intelligence and abilities, even while blind, is incredible. Strength is not the only requirement for becoming Hokage either.

Itachi is smart, calm, and strong enough to defend the village, basically a true example of being a leader, the same qualities Minato had (and Sarutobi before he retired from his duty and before Minato's reign).

I know it's retard but in all honesty it's true, kishi really need's to put down that weed, cause there is not a single village that would go against konoha so long as Naruto is alive.

I really want to say itachi and madara, but if you really think about it<---look below.

Madara, would mostly let a few of his ninja's die before he goes in battle, hell it might even let them all die.

Itachi, he would be a perfect hokage, but the fact still remain's the same, i don't see him doing a good job against pain attacking the village. he is more of a 1v1 kind of guy as well.

The real reason why i say Naruto, he might lack brains but if you really think about it, the war casualties would be low, due to clone bm spam.

The hokage is the face of the village they represent the village to the world and have to negotiate with other villages. Naruto has the right personality to forge alliances with other villages. Hes this generations hashirama.

Itachi ignoring the fact hes a S-class wanted criminal so could never be hokage. Isn't suited to hokage hes not the man who represent the village he protects it from the shadows like Danzo.

He went blind while Susanoo was still active, and at which point he no longer had his genjutsu, enhanced perception, Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susanoo would be lost to him.

Remember too that the brilliant Shikaku nor either the experienced Homura or Koharu were up for the position of 6th Hokage when Tsunade went into a coma. Being Kage is a combination of intelligence and strength.

Itachi has the same "ends justify the means" type of mentality. He's willing to do whatever's necessary to accomplish his goal, no matter how psychotic it may seem.

May I remind you of the Uchiha massacre, or turning Sasuke into a psychopath, or even burning his poor little bird alive when all he had to do was remove Shisui's eye.

Currently it would be Itachi.

I would vote Madara for the 1st Kage.

The meeting would've gone a bit like this:
Madara: bow down and kiss the hidden leaf's feet before we blow up all your countries in a single second
Other Kages: Yes Madara anything you want.

But of course Hashirama had to get it first and it ended up being more of a fair business.

I would just want Itachi because he did so much for the entire shinobi world, that no one knows, he deserved more recognition.
And those stupid bastards in the ramen shop that were talking about killing Itachi should've been executed right on the spot by Sasuke.

The current ninja system is corrupt and evil, gave birth to all the bad guys in the NV, spreading pain/hatred and stuff like that.

Becoming Hokage of such a ****ed up system wouldn't change anything. All previous Hokages failed horribly.

Madara realized the real problem (ninja system) and found a way to actually change the world. Obito shares the same ideals as far as we know.

Danzo didn't do anything. Itachi knew what would happen if the Uchiha went through with their coup, and he knew they had to be stopped.
