Agreed. Obito is not a good villain. He's just a guy that lost his path but under the right conditions can be steered back to good. That's not way to do villainy. A true villain will do what they want without emotions and for selfish reason. Like some people say Madara's IT was kinda a good thing but we all knew he just wanted power and to dominate. Obito is just a weak ninded individual mentally, and physical he's not that skilled. He just had overpowered Kamui as his signature weapon. Out of all the villain canidates listed Obito is the only one I feel would be a excellent Hero had he realized the error of his ways earlier.

You do realize that Talk no Jutsu is a stupid plot device, right? Obito had all the requirements to be a great villain. At least he was not a jobber like Madara. And Madara himself got trolled by Kaguya, so Madara manipulating Black Zetsu is invalid.

Madara's attitude was not very good for a final villain, that's why many people started to dislike Madara before Kaguya was mention. Edo Madara had good attitude, rinnegan madara lost track of his path

Obito has proven he is mind weak and could not fufil the Mugen project, since he regretted everything he has done.

Pain was manipulated by Madara and Obito, so he cannot do it either.

Orochimaru is too weak to be final villain.

Kaguya has no development, no responsibility, and impact on the series. She is the least of all of them.

Madara is the one who deserves it. He planned it all and achieved it all.

Madara was a jobber who nearly got killed by Gai. A final villain should never be this reckless. It's obvious Kishimoto didn't intend to make Madara the final villain. Madara was just a tool like everybody else

Kaguya/Shinju basically created the Narutoverse. But Sasuke seriously deserves it.

Kaguya's backstory was horribly written.

She ate a fruit, gave chakra to everyone

Went crazy, used IT and was defeated

Now she's trying to take everyone's chakra back.

The story was more interesting when Hagoromo was considered to be the first Shinobi without a brother or a Deity Mother

Kaguya becoming FV sound stupid to me.
She became FV for creating white Zetsu army? oh come, even Madara can make them from senju DNA.

Kaguya is the best choice. A villain that feels completely different and fresh from the previous ones (and not only because she is female).

Besides all those mentioned villains had their fair time to shine and their spotlight, some of them (Nagato, Obito) had a truly satisfying and in-depth showdown. Their stories were told, so why cling to them, instead of embracing the new things?

We don't know her backstory in detail yet.

Before Hashirama narrated his past with Madara, we only knew Madara was a troublemaker who abandoned the village because he didn't become Hokage. Not exactly mindboggling.

I thought the tale that both Obito and Itachi told about Madara were interesting. It was actually the original reason why Madara became my favorite.

I don't even think Kaguya is even the villain of this arc, but the vessel Shinju.

I think the Shinju is possessing Kaguya. Remember what Hagaromo said about the Shinju wanting its chakra back?
Well, I guess that's one of the three possibilities that might happen...

Madara, he's the only villain who has justified characterization.
