Gotenks isn't really much out of ssj3. Vegeta and goku in the buu saga aren't too much stronger in ss2 than gohan was(besides ssj3 goku of course). You gotta remember ssj2 gohan in the cell saga was leagues above everyone else. The kids are the weakest of the saiyans.

Yea he was stronger than everyone that time. He didn't surpass a ssj fusion or ssj3 until mystic Gohan if i remember right(since he could have beaten skinny Buu with ease). Ssj3 Goku could have beaten fat Buu but not skinny Buu. Fat Buu beat ssj2 Gohan......Gotenks also got beat by skinny Buu but that was without ssj if remember right. :| It's kinda abc logic but in dbz it works to an extent.

Common knowledge? You're not getting the point, it's about what version of gotenks. You can't simply say "goten and trunks can fuse ".

Is it? I thought Supreme Kai did something to make Gohan stronger during the tournament. Ssj3 Goku was getting rek'd tho. And that kid Buu kept playing with him. Can't say on the last part since he never went ssj3 vs super Buu.

Nah, the kais where surprised he was so strong but vegeta calls him pitiful for not training for 7 years and being weaker than he was, or something like that
