You DO have to remember that Hiruzen was displayed in Part 1, where the power scale was MUCH different. Average Genin were as strong as kage in terms of Shippuden's power scale when looking back on it. On top of that, Hiruzen was an old man and WELL into the age where he shouldn't have even been fighting anymore, yet he took on an immortal Hashirama AND Tobirama (argue all you want, the two of them were NEARLY at full power. Not at absolute full power, but damn close) with unlimited chakra and stood his ground VERY well.

Now we can't say for SURE how powerful Hiruzen is as of now or as of his prime. He WAS hailed as the Professor of all Ninjutsu AND formerly the God of Shinobi (until Hashi pretty much ripped it off). In this case, his matchup with Minato can't really be foretold. And with Minato now having the Nint Tails Chakra, it really is a toss up.

Basically, what Daisy is saying to you is that you aught not underestimate Old Man Sarutobi.

I have to disagree here, in my opinion Hashirama and Tobirama displayed little to none of their full potential in that battle. Hashirama didn't use sage mode nor did he use any high scale moukton techniques and Tobirama didn't use his s/t ninjutsu.

On top of it all, Orochimaru toyed around with Hiruzen in that fight, displaying little of what he could actually do as well.

I'd say Minato's reaction speed, and natural foot speed make him more than a match for Hiruzen. He has barriers and seals to stop any of Hiruzens ninjutsu, and FTG alone is enough to avoid these attacks. I just don't see how Hiruzen defeats Minato at any point in Naruto.

This is as I said before. This falls under the power scaling. And the fact that the Senju Bros were never planned to be that powerful at that time nor did Sage Mode even exist at that time. And I could be dead wrong, but Tobirama wasn't known to have Space/Time Ninjutsu in that fight. That wasn't mentioned until Minato went against Obito, which was MUCH later on.

Also, Hiruzen at that time WAS the strongest Hokage in existence (at least in his prime). He was the God of Shinobi and the Professor of all Ninjutsu.

Well this part is very true and I agree 100%. And it is as I noted. Hiruzen at that time was old, retired (until Minato died), and all washed up. He had NO business battling the likes of Orochimaru and the Senju bros. Not in his condition. The fact that he did as much as he did was DAMN impressive if you ask me.

And as of this, I do agree with you. However, it is as I stated. Hiruzen has never shown all of what he is truly capable of. and being the Professor of all Ninjutsu and mastering every Jutsu in the Hidden Leaf, this gives a VERY large and ambiguous arsenal of abilities that Minato will have to deal with. Possibly more than the Flying Raijin can handle.

However, Minato (as I said) now has the Nine Tails Chakra. And with his other abilities (if he has any) being just as ambiguous and mysterious as the currently unknown affects of his new Nine Tails Chakra, this matchup just can't truly be determined.
