Well with what I've observed over the years and the total disappearance of temari (and tenten,kankuro,Shino,lee...)
I'm fairly sure that they will.
Shikamaru & Ino would make a fair couple.
Shikamaru's laziness may change Inos busy body attitude, while at the same time her bossiness will motivate Shikamaru to continue further on his Shinobi path, They just seem to click and understand what the other is thinking before they say it. I also this it's cute the way Sikamaru acts when Ino speaks about Sasuke in part one; Nothing better than to hear from the girl your admiring that she thinks some other guy is the ****.
Or when Ino is around Shikamaru and temari-- She wanted to make herself useful and try to help (not temari) but Shikamaru, theirs nothing worse then feeling second best to another women that's trying to flirt up your man.
Besides I'm not a fan of oldergirlfriend/youngerboyfriend situation.
I think most of Inos maturing was roughly brought on by Sikamaru himself, if you haven't noticed in part 2 she's become quite the strategist planning out her moves before thinking rashly; Sounds familiar dont it.
I also belive that Shikamarus attitude in part 2 had something to do with ino; he's become more of a strong leader and grew more confident in his strategies. He also seems a lot more motivated to serve and protect his village now in part 2 rather then his non-chalont attitude in part 1.
