well i think obito is going to rinne tensei madara so he can become alive again so he can become the jinchuriki of the juubi, but something goes wrong and all the tailed beasts break free and become separate again leaving madara exposed to be killed.

I liked Badeora's fanfic about it and it was probably the most realistic one. Sasuke there helped Naruto defeating Madara then vanished. Later on they had their fight, both survived, Sasuke started a life away from everything on an unknown path, Naruto as hokage remembered him as a friend and kept protecting the village.

That one would proabably fit both the most. Sasuke is too proud to come back to Konoha. He might help winning the war but would want to stay away. They might still want to fight which is very likely to happen.

Another option is both dying in the end. Also realistic.
