Who will continue reading the New Era Project/short stories

Considering they just like chapter 700 will be made by Kishi's assistant and not Kishimoto himself, they are arguably not canon. So the question is, Who will still follow it? As much as i hate the ending to the series... I going to continue. No matter how terrible the ending was i feel like i have to read it now. :dunno: Now this is my opinion so please dont hate on me for it! But the manga ended at 699 for me story wise.

I thought he was the one doing it. Akira was supposed to just be working on the Kakashi Legend book.. I hope Masashi is the one doing it..

Regarding the canonicity of these upcoming stories, it's really debatable. As you've stated, they're part of the ongoing New Era Project, which Kishi is undoubtedly involved in seeing as how the Naruto series is his baby. So I'm sure he's going to have some level of oversight on all things related to it. I really hope someone addresses the topic of canon in an interview with him one day.
