[Discussion] Who will be the next Strawhat?

Bonding with the Strawhats isn't necessary - Robin is a great example of that. She had literally only talked to them once before she stepped onboard their ship. The only reason she was allowed to join, was because of the captain's decision. There's nothing more to it. Also, things aren't just black and white, which you seem to believe. If Oda wants to create a twist to the whole Strawhats-to-be deal, then he's free to do so. It's not always the same setup, you know - meeting a new character, befriending said character, helping said character, then let him or her join the crew.

My personal opinion, it's unlikely for Sugar to join because her broken DF. But I think about it again, if Oda somehow want to make Sugar next nakama ... he can do it similar to Luffy help Robin, ... that's will be like this "There is a little girl ... I must help her get out from castle ruins - Luffy". If she not join strawhat, I think it's will be rude to make her jailed on Impel Down because her kid-looking. Maybe Oda have another plan for her.

Its kinda funny how some of the powers in OP is so OP that some problems are still problems.
Sugar can literally walk into the WG HQ and just touch everyone one a single time unsuspectingly and Neg Diff the whole WG.
OT: I think Viola would be a nice add. I dont see sugar or Kryos joining, i dont see the bull joining either. Rebecca could also join, i think she is skillful enough and she doesnt need to stay on the Island, Kyros would be better off staying considering that the King would need help rebuilding the island with Kryos being a very influential person on the Island. My 2cent.

I want a monkey to join. A monkey who is a foot tall and would be a tiny helmsman. He wouldnt talk not even to chopper. He would have a df that makes things pocketsized.
And in his bag would be a bunch of oversized weapons and a few battle ships

I think Bartolomeo would be a good choice, and hell he may even end up joining them.

But I think Don Sai will be the next one to join the straw hat pirates.

My reason for this is because once in the past (Garp & Don Chinjao) were mortal enemies. Now in the present (Luffy & Don Sai) (Also both their grand children) will become allies because of their past connection.
