Who was worse: Hitler or Stalin

Which one of the two leaders do you think committed more atrocities in their life times? I personally think it was Stalin. Discuss.

Stalin killed more people, unless you count the people killed in countries Germany invaded on Hitler's orders. However, Hitler killed the people for more evil reasons than Stalin.

I think there is a point where it cannot really get any worse.
Though I think both are very interesting figures. I would love to analyze them, so that I have an insight in what they were thinking when they killed millions of people.

That's exactly what I think. Stalin definitely killed a lot more people than Hitler did. People emphasise more on Hitler because he lost WW2, so everyone knows about the horrors that Nazi Germany caused. OTOH, not as many people are aware of the atrocitites that happened in communist Russia.

Stalin is far worse. Only difference is that Hitler discriminated more, but at the end of the day, that's irrelevant as killing as killing no matter who you kill.

Hitler's reign only lasted for half of the time that Stalin's did.

Besides, Hitler was just barbaric in his ideology and in his modus operandi. He killed people with abhorrent reasoning, where Stalin killed purely because he was paranoid.

Hitler for sure.
It depends on circumstances. British killed million Indians with their policies. They heavily taxed them in famines and made them starve to death and said meh they will breed again but you never see British compared to Nazis.

Not sure actually. Been nice if you told in the OP their crimes individually. Although Hitler's "nationalism" sparked many wars, deaths, a genocide, and arguably a world war.

Hitler. People think that Stalin was worse just because he had more people killed, but is that what really matters? Hitler had people taken to camps, starved, tortured, experimented on and the like. Sure, Stalin would have also done this but not to the same extent as Hitler. People think that the killing is the crime, I disagree it is the manner of the deaths that is worse. On top of this, Hitler's ideology was much more atrocious and ridiculous, and he was in power for much less time than Stalin so his death toll would have probably escalated to far greater proportions if he won the won.

hitler was worse off in how he implemented his ideologies for world conquest. stalin's body count isn't entirely more staggering than hitler's.

what would have put old brush-stache over the russian would be if his ideals carried on further past his death. really lost a boat load of grasp on the rest of the developing world when his body hit the floor.
