Who was truly evil in the Akatsuki?

1.Hidan/Tobi
2.Deidara
3.Kakuzu
4.Sasori
5.Orochimaru

Everyone else in Akatsuki was pretty much goal driven or had their own ideals but in my eyes i wont consider that pure evil

I think your list is correct expect for Orochimaru, he's more of a mad scientist. His evil is all in the quest for knowledge.

(Imo)Kakuzu, hidan, probably deidara... although maybe evil isn't the word..sasori... although that one might be debatable. Obito wasn't really "evil" nor was oro really, as he probably would of made a move in the war arc if he was... oros more of a sociopath imo

Deidara was already dubbed as a terrorist since he was bombing different villages before his induction into the Akatsuki but to me Oro is a toss up he can be considered a sociopath but at the same time he a murderer due to the lives lost in his experiments he casually throws life away if he finds it meaningless which is pretty evil if you ask me

That's what makes him a textbook sociopath though, his murdering was(usually)not just to murder(not sure about hiruzen) but where more the results of him doing what he wanted to others for his own gain without any personal remorse care or empathy for those people. I don't really remember him just randomly killing people JUST to kill them... even with something like et he needed dead bodies

Everyone had their own ideology on their reasons joining. Like Hidan it was strictly religion.
So I would say Zetsu was, which ironically enough he was less akatsuki than the rest.

Depends what you mean by evil they all did effed up things so in that respect they all are evil in a way but if you mean intent some characters dud evil acts because you didn't care or for their own self interest I'm not sure if a character was truly driven by hate tho maybe sasori and in a way all if them I guess

Deidara, Sasori, and Hidan are just horrible people. I feel like every other Akatsuki, even Kakuzu have a hidden good side.
