Obito blatantly stated that if Itachi knew more about him he'd be dead.

Obito waited until Itachi died before he ended their truce and attacked the leaf again, if he was stronger then he would've done it either way.

Obito got hit by Amaterasu, even while he saw it coming.


OT: It's a toss up between Shisui and Itachi...

Shisui can only use KA every 10 years which is an issue.

Obito's goal was not Konoha, so he had no reason to attack it either, except to get Naruto who needed to be acquired last anyways since they needed to get the jinchuriki in order.

Obito of course. Last time I checked he was the only MS user to have Senju DNA, and one of the most haxxed ability. Danzo also had senju DNA, but it wasn't as good.

-I see where you'e going with the whole trap thing, but if he was capable of making a trap out of Sasuke, he could make legitimate counters/traps in an actual fight. I already established Amaterasu, others have brought up clones, and genjutsu diversions.

So if Itachi felt that he could best Obito in a fight, why didn't he?

Obito only kept his word up until Itachi died. Itachi could have gave away valuable secrets about Akatsuki if he turned against them. Obito kept his word and Itachi kept his.

Besides, like I said, he had no reason to attack Konoha at the time. He still didn't even capture Bee yet, so he had no reason to go after Naruto so soon, since he has to extract them in order.

I would say Itachi, considering that he was definitively the most well-rounded MS user and used it adequately, considering that he didn't go blind for the 7 years he possessed it. Obito has the most hax technique, kamui, however he hasn't gone blind nor will he ever due to Madara plastering half of his body with Hashirama's cells.

He was not madara's equal, if he were then he could have fought hashirama and madara fought tobirama but that's not the way it went, it was the best vs the best which was madara vs hashirama. Also, to imply they were equals is like saying tobirama > madara since tobirama > izuna and well saying tobirama > madara is just ridiculous.
