Itachi as always

Ha, no.

Madara was the star of the fourth great ninja war. Anyone who says they weren't hype when Madara first came out on the battle field and start dropping meteors out of the sky like fujitora, is a ****ing liar.

Well I would say:
- Madara: The star of the war in terms of overwhelming and legendary power.
- Naruto: The star of the war as he ended up being the savior that put an end to the war.
- Obito: The star of the war as he had the biggest redemption arc and played a critical role in Kaguya's down fall.

And I would chuck Itachi in there and say he is the unsung hero of the war.

Itachi arguably did the most in the manga when it comes to influencing without even getting the same screen time ass naruto or sasuke but in the war itachi got Edo tensei released so that help the SA a lot and made it possible for the SA to help naruto vs the juubi had that not happen naruto would have dudes fighting obito and the juubi...

Kabuto was influential in the war as well he made it an even playing field for the akatsuki by using Edo tensei thus matching the numbers and by boosting the white zetsu's....

Naruto fought the most hut wasn't the most important to the war neither was sasuke however sasuke's decision was important with what side he actually chose cuz that would have been favorable for obito and madara if he chose bad over good

Obito planned the whole thing out and he affected both the good side and the bad side

Madara completely dominated and changed the war when he came, he made it better to watch he made it better overall and for me he and itachi were the most important to the war

Most attention is Madara and Obito, as they were basically one man army's going against the entire alliance as Juubi Jins. The stand out guy as a whole though is Naruto, as he's the primary reason why the war's over.

I can agree with your reasoning explaining why they are 'star' on their own right but here OP asking for someone that became central attentions of Shinobi alliance. Thus making him the man to watch and stand out among human there.

If that is the case, then definitely Madara. I remember when he first appeared he was on a whole other level. He was almost god like.

In the end, Itachi's biggest contribution was directing Sasuke towards the correct path. Ending Edo Tensei didn't do much, since the Edo Tensei shinobi had mostly been defeated, and Madara wasn't stopped by it.

Lol at the people saying Itachi. I like Itachi as character but Madara clearly was the star of the war but you can say Itachi is the unsung hero and the reason why most of the reanimated ninja were stopped.

Still a noteworthy contribution to the war effort; greater than a lot of the other shinobi. Although, I will not argue that a lot of the edo's had been dealt with and that the strongest/most threatening edo avoided being released. However, he not only put an end to the jutsu, but defeated Kabuto one of the key players on the opposing side - ruling out any possibility of him further causing chaos.
