remember the v2 jins at obito's disposal? when they first engaged bee and naruto they managed to overwhelm them. We then see kakashi and gai saving naruto and contending with the jins in a exhausted state without even using their trump cards. Not only this, but those jins had a Sharingan and Rinnegan.

Gai has beat Kisame multiple times, he is so fast that he managed to blitz a V2 Jin in the war. And he is still capable of using his high gated attacks

as for kakashi, he is smarter than any of the kages lol he is faster than any of them besides A. He is more versatile than them. He has better genjutsu and kenjutsu feats than them. He can now warp himself like Obito. He managed to warp Naruto so fast with Kamui that even Tobi was fooled. kakashi is a raiton master who is capable of slicing through a v2 shroud with ease, even orochimaru could not achieve such a feat.

And people have the audacity to say any of the current kages are above kakashi or gai? lmfao

also, it was stated that the final gate allows gai to surpass the previous hokages for a short while, and the dude hasn't even used it yet

Plot is an excuse people use when they don't like something. Everything that happens in the manga is a plot, including the fact that Sasuke's clan was killed, that Naruto's father was a Hokage and everything else. The thing is, they DID save Naruto from Obito, call it plot if you want, but it's a manga fact.

I doubt kakashi's Kamui could keep up with the speed he has, and if Gai used the 8th gate, he would surely defeat him, but die afterwards, so it would be a draw if anything.

Naa..I doubt that. It's already been stated by the manga that the raikage is the fastest shinobi alive since the 4th died.

Although, it would be an interesting match up...Guy (8gates) vs Raikage (Max speed)

We have to also keep in mind that guy's 8 gates does come with a price which is death..and we do not know how long the duration of the power boost lasts.

You also have to factor in the Raikage's defensive abilities. Remember, chidori could not penetrate through lightning clad armor v1 and while Raiakage is in Lightning clad armor v2 he can dodge amatersu.

His lightning armor is not imprenetrable but its still a factor. Daytime tiger did not kill Kisame; guy would need something much more powerful then daytime tiger to get through Raikage's lightning armor.

Tsunade is stronger then the raikage. She still has her snail summons. She also has the forbidden medical ninjutsu and has the highest taijutsu ability of the group. Your forgetting (like Orochimaru) she heals after the damage she receives immediately.

I think its
Oonaki <=> A (depends on the situation it could go either way) >Tsunade > Mei <=> Kakashi <=> Gaara > Gai

Mei has her steam release but it was only effective because she had Sasuke in a sealed room.

Gaara vs Gai would be a re run of Rock Lee vs Gaara part 1 with bigger attacks.
