Hashirama is tiers higher than The rest. Hes the closest to the sage of six paths and has the best Medical ninjutsu there is.

Madara only has a portion of hashirama's Cells. Which isnt complete.

But you have to remember that Madara is an edo and that does not count.

Hashirama did not have all the bijus and he also get seriously injured from catching the 9 tails alone even though his abilities are perfectly suited for capturing them.

All of Hashirama's base abilities can be countered by Nagato, the one that can cause a real problem is the thousand hands due to it's size, even then I don't see why Nagato has to destroy it just use bansho tennin and bring Hashirama to him or use CT which is larger than it when a tired deva path did it and it's potential is a lot bigger.
