Who suffered more, Naruto or Sasuke?

So I read a few of these posts. What I have concluded is that those of you who state that Sasuke suffered more than Naruto have never felt what it is like to be completely shunned by people.

Sadly I do know how it feels to have everyone around you not like you or want anything to do with you. When I was a child my family was so poor I couldn't afford the cool stuff like other kids. So I had no friends and solitude was my safe place and my friend. I became a loner due to the kids around me hating me and picking on me.

So in the end I have to say Naruto had a rougher life due to the fact he wasn't talented naturally he didn't have anyone when he was growing up to look up to and to teach him. While Sasuke did suffer from a very bad tragedy he had a ton of support around him as he grew up and he chose to disown them all. He in the end is a victim of his own choosing.

Where as Naruto had to prove again and again to the people around him just to get some sort of praise. He had to come in and save the village just to get people to be like oh you are a good guy after all.

Where as Sasuke had to do nothing to get all the girls to think he is the next best next thing to sliced bread. His teacher to showed him his secret jutsus. All the people around him praising him etc. But he instead chose the life of hatred and revenge. Yea I get why he did but the point is Naruto could've done the same thing. He could've given in to the hatred of the nine tail demon and destroyed the entire village again and again. But he rose above it and forgave them.

In the end I have to say they both suffered a lot. Which is also why Naruto stated that he and Sasuke are alike. They are alike in they both suffered great tragedy. While it was different in some aspects it was the same in a lot of others. While Naruto didn't have the bonds that were broken like Sasuke. He also didn't have the love or guidance that Sasuke had or the natural talent. He also didn't have the popularity. But Sasuke chose his path of pain that he is on. Where Naruto chose to overcome it and forgive those who hurt him and to protect them.

naruto did not have friends to play with everyone in the town hated him and told their children to stay away from him. Go reread and rewatch the anime before you talk. He gained friends if you want to call them that. Way later in the series. As he grew up he was alone. Sasuke suffered yes but chose to give into his hate. And there for is a victim of his own choosing.

Wow retard you ever heard of spelling when you ask for grammer corrections. Also guess what dumb ass those flash backs in the anime are fillers that never happen in the manga. So when you want to go debate something go read what the creator writes not what some dude made up to fill space on the Anime. Those fillers never happened in the Manga. Nice try though, please try again. Also he wasn't friends with any of his classmates. Go watch episode 1 of Naruto.

I have to agree with you on this one. Also I forgot to mention along with his entire class hating him his teacher also resented Naruto because of the Nine Tails killing his parents. Anyways I am not going to stay up any longer waiting to see what this guy has to say to our posts so I bid you all a good day and I will be back later. I also think he calls us names cause he feels like it empowers him over us. When in honesty it makes me do this :sy: then wish i could do this to him :flaw:

I think it's a different kind of pain. When Naruto was a child he thought his misfortune was caused by the fate. Sasuke, on the other side, knows that his parents have been killed and the killer is Itachi. Naruto's pain is similar to Gaara's pain.

Naruto lost his mother and father as a baby and was feared and hated by everyone in his own village as a child. But Naruto found friends, people who he could trust and who trusted him and cared about him. Even though Naruto was lonely and hurt by everyone around him, he still found happiness unlike Sasuke.
Sasuke also lost his mother and father however, this included his whole clan. He saw Itachi as his enemy, the only reason he was alive was to kill him. All his life it was just a lie, a source of power and strength. This changed Sasuke who only ever wanted revenge and power to do so. Itachi loved Sasuke more than anyone but Sasuke never knew the truth and ended up watching him die. Even now, Sasuke is still suffering from his past.
So from this and in my opinion, Naruto had a horrible childhood, he was always alone and everybody's thoughts about him were negative but he still had faith in himself and other's around him which led to his strong bonds now. However, Sasuke has always been affected by the events that occured during his childhood, and just like Naruto, shaped him into what he is now. Sasuke has seen and experienced more pain and sorrow than Naruto as a child so I think Sasuke had the worse past.

Actually,itachi has suffered more than naruto or sasuke, he alone shouldered all the blame, he was bound by law to kill his own brethren, he had to sacrifice his own flesh and blood by danzo orders in order to protect konoha from a possible war outbreak and had to live with the fact that he was hated by everyone, not even the konoha he protected remember his sacrifice, he was forced to look his own mum in the eye and put a katana through her, the AMBU ops definitely made itachi the most suffered person in narutoverse

Naruto had no choice in his situation, he was shunned for being the jinchuuriki, left as an outsider.
Sasuke had no choice over his fam being slaughtered, but he was accepted openly and was even popular in school etc.

Sasuke CHOSE to go to orochimaru, CHOSE to leave the village, CHOSE to become a rogue ninja and CHOSE to hate the leaf.
Naruto CHOSE Jiraiya, CHOSE to train outside of the village,
CHOSE to train to be hokage.

Personally, Sasuke has consciously experienced more pain and suffering (being aware of his parents dying etc.)
but naruto lived his entire life as an outsider, and suffers now for the entire ninja world.
Without a doubt naruto has suffered more.

Anyway, I will Sasuke suffered more than Naruto.

In terms of length of time, Naruto comes out ahead as he has suffered since his first hours of birth, whereas Sasuke at least had a younger childhood of happyness.

In terms of the depth of ones suffering, I personally think Sasuke is a country mile ahead of Naruto. Though I detest Sasukes character, to have something and lose it, is far far worse than having nothing at all. With nothing at all you have everything to gain, this is what Naruto lived for, seeking attention wherever he could whilst attempting to make a name for himself. His loneliness was probably his only and biggest suffering and that in itself is strong.

Sasuke on the other hand had a genius in his brother, a true mentor and friend who he obviously loved to the pit of his stomach. To have a young childhood filled with that to be so suddenly removed in an act of such horror will scar ones soul in a way probably few could comprehend. His suffering has been twisted and torn by many. His brother lied all along about his feelings. Orochimaru only wanted Sasukes body for power, caring not for the person who Sasuke was, which ironically came full circle when Sasuke consumed him. And finally Tobi, using that one weakness in Sasuke, the feelings for his brother, to further his misery and torment to an extent, that for all intents and purpose, has consumed whatever was left of Sasuke, into the true avenger of the Uchiha.

In a way though, you could also say they have both suffered equally. But thats too debatable XD
