Who should talk politics?

I keep reading comments from YouTube videos that say celebrities need to shut up about politics because they are out of touch. So who should talk about politics?

Rich non celebrities (corporations)?
College educated?
Property owners?
Middle America?


Who has the right to talk about politics?

You shouldn't give any consideration to YouTube comments section. But yeah everyone has the right to speak their mind on politics. Professional athlete or middle class worker, celebrity or small business owner. Obviously in plenty scenarios celebrities do it for PR but some seem to genuinely care, particularly for the communties they were raised in if they didn't inherit their fame.

Anyone so long as they don't force their political views on others and attack other people for having different political views, wich is what a lot of them do. They can talk about politics all they want but i don't think that's what people want when they simply wanna watch a movie or have a good time now do they? If the Oscars isn't any indication then i don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry you don't get it.

Most of those celebrities are out of touch. They sided with Hillary. When it is Bernie Sanders they should have supported. IMO

Understand that the people who say that are typically the same people who voted a celebrity to president.

Everybody has the right to talk about that which influences their lives. Politics or rather politicians and their policies have a major impact on people's day to day lives.

My advice ignore YouTube keyboard warriors they're just full of themselves.

EVERYONE has the right to talk about politics or any other topic for that matter. You don't have to have a degree or own property to be able to form an opinion on how the country should be managed. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably looks at the 1800's as a golden age.

Considering that's mostly what the mainstream media talks about i'd say that is the most boring political topic there is. But hey, it is what it is, some people still just can't get around the fact he's been president for over a year now.

Well its true they have no idea what they are talking about, they just blabber about whats politically correct and stuff they really have no idea about.

I agree but so do a lot of “middle America “ people. They don’t know how government works, how people are elected, how bills become laws, the budget, GDP, what policies candidates hold.

What’s better, 20+ ignorant celebrities that mean well? Or 30 million who don’t know anything and won’t even try to learn? That number may be lower or higher than reality.

That's what they're supposed to do. If you want people to see your way, you point out the flaws in others' and the good in your own.

Same with most politicians. Plenty of them are loaded with cash since it's practically a prerequisite.
