who should suceed Gaara if he dies...?

I don't know much about the land of the wind ninjas, but I came down to these two choices of who should suceed him

Kankuro- puppet master expert, very skilled and deceptive ninja which comes in handy if he is out numbered. Surpassed the great puppet master sasori by defeating him in battle and shut up deidara in a trap

Temari- her iq should definitely be compared to shikamaru nara, very dangerous long range fighter which makes her almost impossible to attack head on.

I can't decide so I will let readers be my conscience on this xd

Out of these 2, who is better off succeeding gaara of the sand? :shrug:

I love them both, but as there's more to being a kage than just attack power, I pick Temari x)
She's great as an offensive type ninja anyway, so even if it was purely down to attack power, she'd stand a good chance

I don't think the Sand has anyone strong enough to succeed Gaara. Not even close.

It's possible there are other amazing Sand shinobi out there to do the job. But If I had to pick I'd say Temari since not only is she older.. but has a much more calm collected head than Kankuro. I love em both.. But with her powerful wind style techniques, high IQ, and those handy dandy weasel summons. I gotta say she is way more Kage material. cool thread yo! +rep

Kankuro. He has strength in numbers with his puppets, making him more of a reserved defensive type of Kage, which is what a village needs. Temari is very intelligent, but her attacks are very offensive, not defensive.

Kankuro did not surpass Sasori. At least not in the way you suggest.

Kakashi said Naruto surpassed him in the beginning of Part 2. Does that mean Naruto was actually stronger than he was? No.

Sakura is said to have surpassed Tsunade, or at least very near. Does that mean she's stronger or even near Tsunade? No.

Surpass does not always mean stronger. It needs to be taken into context. Kankuro is no where near replacing Gaara

I'd go with Kankuro...his puppetry is pretty good and he know has the Sasori puppet!!!! But other than those two Baki...but only cause he's the only other sand shinobi we really know XD!
