Who really won in the end? Madara or Hashirama?

What Obito said about what happen in the fight between Hashirama and Madara was to only get his DNA. Many view that Madara was bested in a battle between life and death. But that's not the case. Madara took samples of Hashirama and molded to his own use. This and his plan to control the world is in fruit. Madara in many cases has impacted the whole world into a war in death. That and having manipulated countless people to do his biding long ago after his rival Hashirama died. Madara looked into the future and saw an a chance to either win against Hashirama and protect his clan or to die in battle while foiling a plan to get back.

Madara was no fool and knew what was at stake. And seeing his condition when he and Obito united. Goes to show how far he has gone to commit to this act of aggression and revenge. Revenge on the whole Ninja world.

The cards are down friends. Who won?

As of now Madara is declared the most OP character. And he has achieve many goals in his plan. We will see who will win this time around seeing Hashirama is back.

the battle wasn't ONLY about hashirama's DNA bro.
they were rivals and madara is a very proud shinobi (did you see how much he wanted to prove to hashirama that he is now very strong, and plus what we saw of him when he was an edo), so if he was stronger, he wouldn't let hashirama win no matter what and will give it all he's got.
look at it this way, if madara wasn't fighting with all he had (to win) in that legendary fight, then he wouldn't have said that hashirama could stop him when he was revived.
madara's plan is a bit .... messy, you see now he won't just face hashirama again but there are another THREE hokage's (big problem).

Thats true. They are rivals. And Madara gave it all he got. But in the end it's still questionable his motives. Until we see the upcoming manga.

Madara praising Hashirama was a humble act. He respected and feared Hashirama.
