I don't know why these fools say that kakashi killed rin for his MS. Come on you fools, zetsu-san only told in the previous manga chapter 603. One of the mist ninja might have stayed in front of rin (which kakashi probably didn't knew) and when kakashi was going to pierce the mist ninja, the mist ninja might have just jumped up and kakashi might have acciddently pierced through rin's heart!!

Actually. him killing rin was his mission. i agree with the emotions part. after knowing that obito was "dead" rin and kakashi was a two man team. kakashi aslo lost his captain. so the only ties he had was rin. remember. kakashi waa a part of the anbu. this also explains him awakening his sharigan true powers. and since kakashi is a strategic fighter he just never used it because he knew over using his m.s would resort into him losing the light in it.
