who picture Infinite Tsukuyomi differently

When i heard of infinite tsukuyomi i thought that infite tsukuyomi would bring all people to one single dream ruled either by madara or obito.

If anything went wrong madara or obito would end the conflict with the infinite power granted inside the dream, but it turns out that everybody has a dream of their own, which makes it kind of pathetic, it would have being cool that the infinte tsukuyomi was that way and once all people including naruto and sasuke were under IT, they fought their way out to reality.
I would have liked to see one big dream where the caster is the god of the dream

Otherwise IT would kind of serve no purpose. Madara could have just lived the rest of his life in his own Genjutsu paradise.

What would be the point of making others do the same if they will be disconnected from our dream?

It'd be impossible for them to be in one illusion because everyone is different. They all have different wants. The point was to give everyone what they want in the illusion to attain peace.

I thought the very same. I think Madara was completely ignorant of how the IT worked, because he wouldn't have been involved in it at all had he activated it.

Totally. Everyone living in the same dreamverse made sense with Obito and Madara, because otherwise they could have lived in their own genjutsu, but when you look at Kaguya's use of IT use, to stop humans from wreaking havoc on each other and the world, they didn't need to be connected. I think Madara may have lied, or been mislead himself. Afterall, no one would have known much about the IT's real effects.

He wasn't ignorant. Madara knew that IT for filled people's dream judging by his comment of happiness in chapter 678.
