I wouldn't say that he is my favorite, but I think that Kakashi deserves a lot of respect. All of the other Hokages were chosen pretty much solely because they were clearly the strongest shinobi in Konoha at the time (other than Tsunade who was a backup when Jiraiya turned it down and it could be argued that the decision was difficult in terms of power between Hiruzen/Danzo and Minato/Orochimaru). Not to say that the other Hokages did not display adequate leadership skills; it's just that Kakashi was chosen based more on the village's trust in him as a leader more than their respect for his ability as a shinobi.

My favorite Hokage is probably Naruto though (just barely edging out Hashirama). Actually it might be Minato. I like that he isn't as goofy as those two, nor as hard-headed as Tobirama...
