[Spoilers] Who is your favourite character in Bleach and why?

Well, I usually see these type of threads in the Naruto Discussion section of this forum but I have never seen them here before. So, tell me who your No.1 favourite character is and state the reasons why you like him/her more than everyone else in BV. I'm going to make a HUGE poll soon!

For me, this was a very tough decision. I like Ichigo, Urahara, Aizen & others a lot but I will have to go with this guy:

Ichimaru was always a bada*s ever since he was introduced. There was so much mystery behind his character at the beginning - whether he was truly evil or not. His slitted eyes and constant grin further enhanced the mysterious nature of his character and that made his character frightening. When Gin appeared in front of Ichigo at one of the four gates, I literally sh*tted myself because I seriously thought he was going to kill Ichigo. Ever since we found out that Gin was teaming up with Aizen, I was eager to know the motives why he did so (considering he and Rangiku were best friends).

And then this moment came:

My jaws dropped when I saw this scene in the anime. It was totally unexpected. I know some of you guys knew this was coming but for some reason I didn't. To think, Gin, who had served Aizen most of his life, do this was simply breathtaking. He spent all those years to find out that one extra information about Aizen's Zanpakuto and that is truly the reason why I love him as a character.

I think he has only won a single fight, and that was against a very battle-worn Grimmjow. Others he either lost or it was left unconcluded.

You should ask for the most annoying character in Bleach
Orihime and Hiyori would be on top of my list, and all those guys saying どうした all the time. It goes on my nerves.

My favourite characters often lose. Results shouldn't affect the quality of the fight. I think he took on Aizen once?

He did, and the fight was interrupted but then he tried to jump Aizen along with Sui-Feng, Kyouraku and Hitsugaya. He was bested along with them. But he did a number on Grimmjow. Shinji is actually pretty cool. I initially hated him because of his stoopid face, but then I saw his battle skills and tactics and I liked him after it.

Unohana Retsu

Firstly, she was introduced as a highly thoughtful and kind person. As the series progressed we see more and more again that people fear her, and get nervous when she's around. I always found it hilarious when she'd kindly ask people to do things, and they'd flip out (Ichigo for example).

Then we see her true personality which is that of the First Kenpachi. While she has a love for battle equal to Zaraki, she's far more elegant in battle. She just gets to the point. She doesn't sit there and laugh her ass off. She doesn't boast about how she's all powerful, or that she's been looking for a fight. She just keeps her eyes calmly half closed and goes to battle. The moment she just pimp slapped his sword despite him being at full power, and followed up with jumping on his wrist was simply amazing.

Eventually she goes Bankai. The fact her bankai is actually a play on Kanji was unique and I loved it. Minazuki going from Purify the Flesh to Consume Everything was pretty cryptic. And the result was this:

Unohana was a very interesting character. It was beyond frustrating to watch all the hype she'd built go down the drain just to hype Zaraki.... going as far as to make her weaker than him as a child.... tat was just sad. Doesn't even help when half the battle isn't even seen, and even when it is seen its jumping around. Not to mention her bankai isn't even explained. The ultimate slap came when Isane asked if she was dead and actually said thank god when Zaraki confirmed it -.-.
