So yhh Zoro is the first mate then XD. And this thread asked who is your favorite pirate which was the first crewmate to join a crew even if Zoro wasnt confirmed in the manga to have the first mate title he technically is so what you talking bout?

I'm saying the names mean the same thing. Did you honestly think mate wasn't a shortened version of crewmate (especially in terms of pirates and piracy)
