Well my 3 favorites are Hinata, Kakuzu, and Han, but I'll stick with my long term favorite Hinata!
Hinata's personality reflects my own. Like Hinata, I am kind, gentle, and courteous. I treat everyone with respect no matter how much better or worse off I am. On a funny note I am also shy around the ones I like...though I don't pass out

!
I admire Hinata's courage. She is willing to put herself in danger to protect those around her, usually shown to be Naruto. Her courage is strong enough to stand against people who stand way out of her league such as Neji and Pain without even showing signs of fear. Heck, she is standing pretty much as the first line of people closest to the Juubi.
Hinata has been there for Naruto at several key points in his developement. First being the chunin exams. During the first exam, Hinata is willing to to help Naruto cheat. She encourages him by telling him, "I don't want you to disappear." It gave Naruto the courage to finish the exam. Next was right before Neji. Hinata tells him that she thinks true strength is getting knocked down, but having the courage to stand back up. Once again, Naruto has the courage to go and fight Neji! The third time she encouraged him being in the previous chapter in which she helps him recover from Neji's death. In there, she also was responsible for starting the search for the Bikouchu arc to help Naruto find Sasuke!
Another part is that besideds encouraging Naruto, Hinata tries to protect him. Hinata was the only one who went to help him against Pain. While it is a suicide mission, there were plenty of other shinobi with strength that could have come as well. For example, Sakura was right by a Hyuga who watched the whole thing (NOTE: This is not Sakura bashing!)...hell the Hyuga guy himself should have gone! Also, with the recent chapters, Hinata saved Naruto when a mokuton spike was about to hit him after he used Sage Mode. One could count a third time as she was going to take the spikes for Naruto, but Neji in turn saved her! If you count the anime, she saved him during the Bikochu arc, and against the magnet release user which would have resulted in her death had Naruto not managed to get back to her in time! So at best one could say she saved him Five times!
I like how Hinata is someone who is kind, gentle, caring, respectful, but is brave enough to challenge anyone who endangers her friends (since she is a side character...it usually results in protecting Naruto who her character tends to have a focus on).
