So why not use Deidara's imagination? He can literally blow up Sasori's puppets from the air. Sasori would not be able to even touch him. And the "iron sand" is too much overhyped. His control over it was already shown by Sasori.

EDIT: Guess it was only said in the anime but, still do you think Sakura and Chiyo had enough chakra to continue fighting Sasori? She can only punch him and dodge his attacks. He doesn't feel pain and she had little chakra left so, she wouldn't be dodging much longer.

Suna's medical sector is really nothing.. his poison was easily countered by Sakura....
