who is tobi?

i was watching this video on youtube, and something in my mind just went... WAIT A MINUTE.. we never saw who tobi was

i know we find out later that the masked man is obito, however what about the goofy tobi? i have three posibilities

• a white zetsu clone
• obito

the reason why i have picked white zetsu clone is because he is know for his clumsyness and goofy behaviour.
hence the reason why the role of tobi would fit white ztesu a lot!

however towards the end of the video we hear tobi's real voice, and it sounds like obito..so whats going on? how can obito have two really different voices?

my theory is that while obitos body was still badly injured half his body was a zetsu clone right? he let that zetsu clone take advantage of him and sometimes let the zetsu clone roam free and do his crazy thing while obito absorbed energy from the zetsu clone. ..

What was really weird was the sudden Change after the Sasuke vs Itachi end.

It was like he was all clumsy then zetsu appeared And within 3 seconds he was
all serious and showed his sharingan..

And I was like Uhm wtf ?
This is not your mainstream fodder villain.

"Tobi" was Obito..

But my theory is that when he needed to act as a member of Akatsuki, and interact with other persons - for instance Kakashi and other people who knew him, he created this "character".

So when he needed a character, he turned to what he knew - and when he needed to go back outside for the first time, the white Zetsu clone with the swirly mask helped him out - so he adopted this swirly pattern for his mask, and for his character, he adopted the goofy character he knew from the clones.

It's always easier to imitated someone else, than to create a completely new personality. In that way you just have to think "What would the goofy Zetsu have done?", and then act accordingly

Tobi is as he said himself 'no one' meaning these weird personalities were just a weird guy in a Tobi custom or something.
lol sorry, I really don't know.

But Tobi surely was no one back then, so his childish behavior might was merged with a dumb Zetsu.
