Who is Tobi?

Could be Fugaku. Assuming that the Fugaku that Sasuke and even Itachi knew was a Zetsu clone...

There are several things that make me think it's possible, such as the clue dropped when Kushina only stopped to speak to Sasuke's mother... Fugaku would have been the first to know what was happening.

There are plenty of reasons to think it isn't him, I'm just saying it seems plausible.


Edit: Fugaku is Sasuke & Itachi's father, for those of you who don't recognize the name.

Kagami has a sharingan, he could copy the jutsu. Kagami fits everything. After several plot fails and inconsistent themes if Tobi isn't Kagami or someone that makes sense then I quit.We're reading Manga, how mature do you have to be to do that?

im a noob to this site so i have been wanting to see what most people think of this as well. i personally think its the sage of six paths. i think he split the tailed beasts up and did the same with his powers hoping he could trust humanity to govern themselves. seeing how bad things were getting in the ninja world he decided to gather his powers back together and MAKE every act as they should. like he just lost all hope that they would get it together on their own so hes going to do it for them. im not claiming to know this but thats just my guess

The only thing that makes me think that's not possible is because the Bijuu's would probably recognize him, and I also don't think the Rikudou Sennin would be this...Evil. More like Nagato, revealing himself with a clear goal. He wouldn't have used the name Madara if he could name drop his own name, ya know?

Yet another freaking edit: This would make sense of him having been the one who gave Nagato the Rinnegan...but now that we've seen that the Sharingan can evolve to become a Rinnegan, I'm not so sure, but it's a thought. +rep for interesting reasoning

There was huge theme that every generation surpasses the last then the war came and all of the past ninja are stronger and the 1st Hokage is said to be stronger than everyone else. Nevermind that Hurinzen beat the 1st, 2nd, and Orochimaru at when Hurinzen was 70 something.

Chakra levels make no sense at all.

The Sharingan controls tailed beasts. Remember when Sasuke stopped Naruto from transforming? Why hasn't Tobi used his sharingan to stop Naruto's kyubi mode? Better yet, why hasn't Tobi used Tsukuyomi on Naruto or anyone else? Tsukuyomi can only be stopped by an Uchiha, if Tobi had a brain the war would be over.

didnt really consider that...youre right though. his name alone holds alot of weight so yeah him just saying "yo i started this gangster sh*t so bow down!" would at least make the older shinobi hear him out. i just came to this conclusion because most villains start out as someone trying to do right and then just lose faith in humanity. but now im back to square one

Well, I wouldn't totally write off your idea. This is Naruto...any number of things could happen. Look at Nagato. Where the hell did that all go wrong? If I were you I'd search for some good threads on that theory to beef up your reasoning, and that way you will be able to say you did some research on it and decide then whether you think it's possible or not.

Plus it would be possible for white zetsu to repair obito's damaged body.

Different mind you, but still each MS eye has different abilities for others as well. He could be in Obito's body, or have Obito's other eye, but there's no way in hell he actually is Obito. For one thing, Madara must have died around 30 years ago, and Madara and Tobi were working together. So Obito's too young. Oh, and Obito went from a noob to controlling the Kyuubi and attacking Konoha in just a year? Yeah, not really buying it. Not to mention that I don't believe Obito would turn that evil in such a short time. Tobi could be in Obito's body or have Obito's other eye, but there's no way he actually is Obito.

I think it could be Kagami because it does fit the time and he could have picked up space time techniques from the 2nd hokage. I 1/2 agree with you.

I dont think its obito but i do believe that whoever tobi is that he took obitos other eye..because the s/p time tech are VERY similar to kakashi's.
