My opinion is not invalid at all, sakura doesn't even know her place. She keeps dreaming of reaching on sasuke and naruto's level, which is quite impossible. Yet only hinata thinks of naruto's welfare and his love. Now you tell me who is the weirdest??
A girl who has a crush!! Or a fodder who think she is on the same level as gods (naruto and sasuke)??

Gosh, so this would become another Sakura thread.
When she said she caught up with them, she didn't mean it literally. She meant that she could fight back to back with them at least. In Part 1, she always didn't do any damage to enemies in their mission as a team. But now, she could fodderized Juubi minions by herself.

Carefully read the manga and stop hating please...... U_U She had been close to Naruto especially in Part 2 and cared for his welfare. Heck, even in Part 1, she was willing to forfeit the Chuunin exam written test so that Naruto's dream of becoming Hokage won't be crushed, even though she and Sauke could answer all the questions very easily.
I can provide you with many many evidences of Sakura caring about Naruto. She even stood up against Sasuke when Sasuke insulted Naruto!
A hater's opinion is invalid. He can't see reasons.
Edit: One last thing, Naruto and Sasuke were born special from the start with special bloodline and special powers. They were also given free power-ups. Unlike Sakura, she achieved everything by herself.

Who was the one to save naruto from pain?? Who was the one to step in when naruto was about to get TNJ'ed. Sakura never cared for naruto as a friend, all she cared for herself and sasuke even in war.
What sakura achieved by herself doesn't matter. And naruto never got free power-ups. he had to train his ass off for that!!

I gave you my argument already about that. She couldn't beat any enemy when they were a team in Part 1 and now she could beat Juubi minions by herself. So she could rely on herself now at least (pre-Hagoromo's power-ups).
Hinata didn't save Naruto from Pein. It was Minato. Hinata didn't intend to save Naruto because she knew she wouldn't stand a chance. She was just selfishly wanted to confess her love for Naruto. Even she herself admitted that she was selfish in the conversation.
She would just harmed herself and that would just made the villagers and her family worried. It was just a coincidence that Minato had a failsafe in the seal, otherwise, it would be the end for Naruto. Hinata didn't save Naruto. And one more thing, in the manga she got one-shotted before really being able to do anything. It was the anime that extended the scene making her seemed heroic.
Hinata was the one to stop from getting TNJed because she was there in front of him. Put anyone else and that person would also save Naruto. That was good for Hinata indeed. But you know what's bullshit, she didn't even care to touch or hold his dying f**kin cousin Neji. She just cried very shortly and after that smiled and felt happy of how warm and big Naruto-kun's hand was. "Naruto-kun's hand is big and strong". Really????!!!! Your cousin just died and you didn't even touch him and just forgot about him because of Naruto-kun.
Many people saw Hinata as a "good character", an "angel". They are blind to see the flaws in her character and always tried to compare her with Sakura. When in fact, Hinata's character is really a bad one from Kishimoto. She got no depth, she's one dimensional, her life only revolves around her "Naruto-kun" and that's it. "Naruto-kun", "Naruto-kun", "Naruto-kun". All she cared about is Naruto-kun above everybody else even her family. She's too obsessed with Naruto-kun. Even when the entire population was getting wrapped by the Shinjuu, all she could think about was "Naruto-kun".
Fight with Pein, Sakura didn't have Byakugan and she was a medic. Stop isolating certain incidence just for the sake of hating. You can also ask why didn't other villagers went to protect Naruto but you only asked about Sakura.
"Sakura never cared for Naruto as friend" is a f**kin bullshit statement. So what's Naruto for Sakura, her slave, or what? What are you trying to say really? Not as friend but as a boyfriend?
I can give you many manga scans of Sakura caring for Naruto the especially in Part 2 where they were together a lot. She was one of the first to recognize Naruto's dream of becoming Hokage and always believe in Naruto.
"She just cared for herself and Sasuke in the war." Yeah tell me more about that. When Naruto was dying who was there to pump his heart and doing CPR. There were also other moments before in the war that she didn't ignore Naruto.
