Oro doesn't die....but he is quite vulnerable to taijutsu.....if his body starts rejecting him he becomes a lot weakened...so even if he doesn't die a time will come when he will become incapacitated and will be forced to flee from battle....so i can't say he is the toughest character....

Once Hidan can't make sacrifices to Jashin, he loses his immortality. So, just pull a Shikamaru. Kinda obvious.

Gotta vote for the 3rd Raikage on this one. His Lightning Armor made him practically invincible. We've seen Orochimaru get tossed around before and he keeps doing his rebirth thing, but The 3rd Raikage's defense is just superb

Minato? Roflmao, no just no, he's anything but resilient. What defensive type of jutsu does he have? None.
If anything, he's the puniest high tier character in the series.

orochimaru was able to survive using the reaper seal, a jutsu that usually finishes the caster off. while Obito is nearly untouchable, he is in fact easy to kill. Orochimaru regularly walks away from crap that can 1 shot almost any other shinobi. Although Obito does get points for surviving amaterasu, compared to orochimaru, he's nothing when it comes to staying alive. Let me see him use the reaper seal and walk away from it, and then I'll say he's hard to kill.

He has to cut his stomach to do that right? What if he temporarily sends his stomach to the other dimension and then take it back? (disgusting thought but it could work).

It won't work because if he doesn't cut himself the ritual won't work. and the price of the jutsu is your soul, orochimaru survived because he can jump to different bodies.

pain/nagato. multiple layers of defence, mecha armour, multiple arms, hyped as invincible god, and controls gravity. plus he can resurrect his bodies and control life and death. if he has to, can hide inside a chameleon or gedo mazo
