I know jokes are tempting here, but I'm actually curious to hear some legitimate opinions.

Other members of K11 would be the most obvious answer. The only ones that I can even see her feasibly beating would be Shino or Tenten(if she doesn't have Hagoromo's tools).

Base Jirobo.

Everyone in K11 know about her Shintenshin, so that most likely ain't gonna work, except maybe on Ten-Ten.

The only thing Ino could consistently beat is Sai's d*ck.

doubt she can beat anyone in k11
she might be able to hit hinata with mind transfer but can't see how she can put her down

Tenten Negs her using Banana fan. She is really underated, the girl neged Kakuzu's hearts, even Kakashi was straggling against those things.

Ino is the complete fodder of K11 lol Does her war arc self even stand a chance in a 1v1 vs CE finals base Naruto and his shadow clones?

However, isn't it plausible to think she has her chances against Shikamaru with the right distance in an open field like Gaara vs Kimi?

Ino is somewhat a sensor and coupled with the location where there are no obstructions to visuals, she would always have an idea of where Shikamaru is.

Both then need to be stationary in other to use their techs and it becomes a case of whose is faster and I think Ino's jutsu wins here. That said, I have no idea how she brings him down.

She isn't catching any other member of K11 in her tech though lol

Ino's mind transfer is now very fast so I don't see how everyone can just sidestep it. It's not like you can see it coming, like a kunai for example.

No, its not.

shika has the tech adv. in mid & close range w/ the precision of his shadows, while ino would never/can't even attempt her techs outside of long range(in a 1 vs 1). its not feasible, angles become so acute there.

so while altering his positional depth, shikamaru would simply chuck kunais, flashes & explosives until the ranges favored him. he is a better weapomns technician & strategist afterall.

U can't look at match ups like a card game where every jutsu to be played has a ''fair chance''
in a neutral scenario, that is usually never the case, and in this case, hers won't even be played

True Shika has precision with his tech over Ino, but I'm not sure it can be disputed hers is faster? In an open field with intel, at the very least she should be aware that Shika's plan would be to create diversions to keep her busy while he snags her with the shadow. If she's able to keep her distance, come out of the obvious smoke bomb and aim at the stationary Shika, I'm pretty sure she would get him.

Has Shikamaru ever been shown to move while his elongated shadows are not yet connected to someone?

shika won't be stationary until he's close enough that her jutsu becomes unusable. they can both use shunshin so its not like he'll blitz her, but conversely, she can't just maintain 30 meters indefinitely just because she wishes for it w/o any other jutsu to alter their particular match up dynamic.
her jutsu is absolutely linear, while his has multiple variations & can incorporate tools to enhance its properties, as well as taijutsu to a very limited extent{but when compared to inos bag of nothing, its a heavy factor)

I don't consider mobility as an issue for either of their jutsu, rather its range. I feel they can both apply on the run if they need to. but at this point, his shadow ''clutch'' jutsu from the war arcs ''ino-shi-cho_yo-yo combination'' prolly outclasses her completely in terms of speed & ''1 vs 1 range''

Yeah the bold pretty much convinced me lol I also realize she only needs to block a punch of his to get snagged by Shika's jutsu ..
Well she's a big fodder

Ohh..but doesn't that just mean he can retract his shadow very fast then...cause we clearly see him focusing on a spot trying to catch Hidan with his shadows till he created an opening for himself?
