Who is the strongest Akatsuki member?

We all have our opinions and all but, I just want to know who you guys think it really is and why?
I think all the members are strong in their own ways but...
Who would be the strongest among them all?
{by the way, this is excluding Pain}

Itachi is still the strongest I believe. A perfectly healthy Itachi is hard to beat.
His Jutsus and intelligence puts him above the rest.

I would say Kisame is close second. In his shark form with that ocean jutsu he's just too much.

Obito's stronger because he was akatsuki's all rounder with an additional haxx space time justu that can't be beaten inside the group.

At fourteen he did better than they all did individually.

Pain is just the most well rounded. He have the best hype ("invicible" by Konan, "the strongest in Akatsuki" by Obito himself) and the best feats.

Why would we exclude Pain? I would probably vote Obito or Itachi. I think both of them would have trouble beating Pain though if they didn't know his power. Pain has a one up on everyone that fights him for the first time. Naruto would have been toast if it wasn't for the frog sages and Jiraiya's fight.
