Who is the Most Unpredictable Ninja?

To me this completely goes to Kabuto. We all know he's the most tricky and treacherous character in the manga but when you look at what he did in Part 1 you really seem to realise that he didn't have any real goal. His affiliation with to Orochimaru but Kabuto just did what he wanted.

Kabuto Events:

• Befriends Naruto & works as a spy in the Forest of Death
• Helps Team 7 through to the Preliminaries
• Heals Hinata (This isn't part of the plan, he just genuinely healed her)
• Tells his men not to underestimate Naruto
• (Then seconds later in their fight, mocks Naruto for being weak.
• Lets Sasuke Walk Away after Killing Oro
• Appears out of nowhere as the most capable shinobi we've ever met.
• Wants Sasuke for undisclosed reason (possibly revenge/possibly to get a rinnegan)

With Kabuto not really sticking to any set agenda and doing mostly what he wanted, Kabuto is probably the most unpredictable character.



Also Naruto for obvious reasons. He always comes up with some plot-related reason why he wins and 'surprises everybody wow the day is saved!' sorta stuff.

Any other characters you can think of?

Not really. Once you know he uses genjutsu you pretty much got it covered. Not too many surprises here.

Yep, Rock Lee's up there for sure- he always shocks everyone and brings something new to every single fight. And we haven't even seen full 8 gates yet.

You may know Itachi can use genjutsu, but the surprise occurs when he catches you off guard. Like when he used izanami on... *cough*Kabuto*cough*, we didn't expect it, although he said he'd use it.

Yeah that's true, Itachi throws them around quite subtly sometimes

I was just thinking the plain old Tsukiyomi trick. Itachi always seems to have some concealed technique we haven't seen before
