I decided to make a thread to show the loyalty of the members of the Akatsuki. I think that some of them wasn't that much loyal to the organization, compared to others, so let's make a short characteristic of their time during the Akatsuki and their deaths, I'm going to separate them by teams:
1. Nagato - As Akatsuki was created by Yahiko, after his death Nagato became it's leader and he was one of the most loyal members, until meeting Naruto. The only Bijuu we know that he captured is Utakata's Six-Tails, Saiken. Anyway, he had personal goals such as the destruction of Konoha, because they killed his parents. He accomplished his goal, but was convinced by Naruto to take the right path and had a change of heart, leaving Akatsuki behind and using Rinne Tensei no Jutsu to rebirth all of the Konoha ninjas he killed during his invasion. After this betrayal, he died, but he's still one of the organization's most loyal members.
2. Konan - She's more loyal to Nagato than to Akatsuki. She was acting alongside Nagato and according to his wishes. She took part during Jiraiya's murder, as well as in Konoha's invasion, but when Nagato had a change of heart, caused by Naruto, she abandoned Akatsuki and decided to protect Nagato and Yahiko's dreams by staking her hopes in Naruto. However, her betrayal was punished by Obito, who killed her while she was in Amegakure, looking for Nagato's body to steal his Rinnegan.
3. Yahiko - He's the creator of the Akatsuki and the organization's first ever leader. When Hanzo "acknowledged" the organization, he formed fake alliance with it, before taking Konan as a hostage in order to make Nagato kill Yahiko, or he would've killed Konan. Although Nagato refused to kill him, Yahiko stabbed himself on Hanzo's kunai, telling Nagato that he's the savior and he and Konan must live at all costs.
4. Itachi - As Konoha spy, he never really pursued the objectives of the organization. His only goal as an Akatsuki member was to spy them for Konoha and not let them attack the village. He had another objective though, to fight Sasuke as a "bad guy" and make him return to Konoha after his death, giving him the Mangekyou Sharingan and it's powers, but things didn't went the way he wanted. Anyway, he's the organization's less loyal member.
5. Kisame - After killing Fuguki and getting Samehada, he encountered Yagura, Yondaime Mizukage and the one who controlled him - the man who was pulling the strings in Akatsuki, Obito Uchiha. After this meeting, Kisame joined Akatsuki and followed the organization's objectives. Kisame is very loyal shinobi to begin with, as he even killed his own comrades to prevent the enemy getting information from them. He captured Roshi, the Four-Tails's Jinchuriki for the organization and was sent to capture the Eight-Tails's, Killer Bee, but during the fight, he was replaced by Parasitic Clone of the White Zetsu and fused with Samehada, which was in Bee's possession after the clone was beheaded by Bee and Ay's Double Lariat. He watched through Samehada and when his evil intentions were felt by Naruto, he was forced to come out of Samehada, but he already had gathered enough information about the Eight-Tails, Nine-Tails and the Ninja Alliance Forces. When he came out, he fought Might Guy, who defeated him with Hirudora when he tried to escape and bring Obito, Kabuto and Zetsu the information he gathered. However, when Aoba started to interrogate him, he bit his tongue in order to wake up and committed a suicide, in order to give the information to the Akatsuki and his final attempt was successful, as Kabuto received the scroll with the information.
6. Orochimaru - In the organization, he was teamed up with both Itachi and Sasori, before he left it at some point. He was after Itachi's Uchiha body and his Sharingan, and this was the reason for him to join the Akatsuki, but after he was defeated easily by Itachi's Genjutsu, he left the organization, as he didn't cared at all about it.
7. Sasori - He's one of the first members of the organization, but he wasn't shown to do anything about the Akatsuki's goal - the Tsuki no Me. During the assault on Sunagakure, he didn't do anything, as he simply waited for Deidara to defeat Gaara. On the way to the hideout, he nearly killed Kankuro with his poison, but Sakura saved him. Later on, he and Deidara were ambushed by Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura and Chiyo, as the last two took him on. During the fight, it's most likely that Sasori wasn't that worried about the Akatsuki, as he let himself be killed by an old hag and a girl. Later, it was revealed that Kabuto worked for him as a spy, before Sasori's jutsu was removed by Orochimaru and they went to Tenchi Bridge to kill him.
8. Deidara - When Deidara joined the Akatsuki, he was wonderstruck by Itachi's ocular powers, as he was about to kill himself when Itachi caught him in Genjutsu. After this event, he started to hate the Sharingan and was very mad that Sasuke killed Orochimaru, as he wanted to do so himself. He looked very loyal to the Akatsuki, as he captured Gaara, the One-Tail's Jinchuriki and later on, in the anime, he and his new teammate Obito Uchiha captured the Three-Tails. However, after he and Obito, acting as Tobi, encountered Sasuke who was looking for Itachi in order to kill him, he decided to show Sasuke that his art is stronger than his Sharingan, but when he didn't had any other choices, he used C0 and committed suicide, which was absolute unnecessarily, especially after it was revealed that Sasuke wasn't killed by the explosion.
9. Obito - Always acting in the shadows, Obito is the real leader of the Akatsuki. He acted during the name Tobi while most of the members were alive and only Nagato, Konan and Kisame knew his true individual. He convinced Yahiko to create the organization, and he was the one to give Nagato Madara's Rinnegan, when he was little child. Obito was never really that concerned about the Akatsuki, as he was mainly using the members of the organization to collect the Bijuus, because he needed them to revive the Ten-Tails and become it's Jinchuriki, casting Infinite Tsukuyomi and completing the Tsuki no Me, but when the bigger part of the Akatsuki members were killed, he decided to start the 4th Great Ninja War in order to capture the Eight and Nine-Tails himself, with the help of strong trumps, such as Gedo Mazo, the 100 000 000 White Zetsu Clone army and Kabuto's reincarnations.
10. Kakuzu - He was the eldest member of the Akatsuki, having battled Shodai Hokage Hashirama Senju in the past. He was very interested in money and gambling and he killed the Fire Temple's leader Chiriku in order to get the money for the monk's head, from the BINGO book. Later on, he and his partner Hidan captured the Two-Tails for the Akatsuki and killed Shikamaru, Ino and Choji's sensei, Asuma, and after the Ino-Shika-Cho team went to avenge their master, alongside Kakashi, Kakuzu was killed after Naruto, Sakura, Sai and Yamato arrived as an reinforcements. He was seriously wounded by Naruto's Fuuton: Rasen-Shuriken, and then Kakashi finished him off with Raikiri.
11. Hidan - He's a psychopathic, immortal killer, who enjoyed hurting people with his Death Possession Blood technique. He was very annoying, and his immortality was the only reason for him to be teamed up with Kakuzu, because Kakuzu didn't liked someone to annoy him and all of his other partners were killed by him, but Hidan can't die, even if his body is dismembered to pieces. He helped Kakuzu in his attacks on Yugito and Chiriku, and killed Asuma with his curse. He was later dismembered by Shikamaru, who blew up the trap he made with a Paper Bomb Kunai, burying Hidan's remains under the rocks.
So after all this writing, my vote for the most loyal Akatsuki member goes to Kisame, without a doubt. He captured a Bijuu for the organization without Itachi's help, tried to capture another one, but failed. However, he was able to gather the information needed for Kabuto and Obito to devise a plan against the Alliance, and to capture the Eight and Nine-Tails. He even gave his life in order for the Akatsuki to get the information he gathered. So, what are your votes? Read the thread and decide for yourselves...
