Minato Namikze-
Father of the savior of the ninja world
Husband to a hot wife
Basically the president/king of his village, protected it with his life
Ironically died protecting it
Cool attitude
Amazing character design (and personally, I love his hair)
Great dialogue and awesome voice actor.

Shadow the Hedgehog-
Debuted in one of gaming history's most notable titles, Sonic Adventure 2
Amazing character design
The yang to the blue yin of the series, the Vegeta to Goku, the Sasuke to Naruto
Stronger than he main character
Died to save the world to fulfill his sister's dying wish
Had his own, dedicated title to himself
Dark/edgy type of character, cool personality

Serphiroth-
Don't know much about him, but he was really cool in Advent Children.
And he's mad powerful.

Asura-
Father of a little girl he'd destroy worlds to protect
Husband to a wife
Servant of a royal King
Insanely amazing character design
Insanely powerful
Awesome hair
Insanely powerful
Creative powers
Insanely powerful

I'm gonna have to go with Asura though.
