Is it Akame or Tatsumi? I would have said Tatsumi but now I'm thinking it is Akame.

No reason they can't but it would be interesting to debate among the two, who'd be a better candidate if there were only one.

Akame is the title character, but it's easy to see she shares the main spot with Tatsumi. He had more panel time than her, but the plot isn't centered around him, it's larger than that. AkG is one of those manga that focuses on a long-term goal that is shared between 2 or more main characters, in this case being Akame and Tatsumi.

In the beginning I feel as if Tatsumi was more relevant whereas towards the end I think Akame was more important. Akame was the only character that had a role in the epilogue.

Which fight was more important Akame VS Esdeath or Tatsumi VS Shikou Tazer.

Tatsumi - we had the story told through his perspective for the majority of the manga and his development was the most significant.

Akame feels like she was intended to be the mc but the author scrapped it, then changed his mind later towards the end. Aside from being OP, she's a blank slate and completely uninteresting.

Tatsumi. but most if not all of the cast got their fair share of screentime. Akame telling the epilogue is like sasuke telling the epilogue of naruto.
