Well, Makino is basically fodder but I think his husband might have some big relevance in the story. In SBS One Piece Manga — Vol. 63, the child in the image is revealed to be Makino's. Oda stated that the father of Makino's child is "probably that person". It is currently unknown who this person is. My guess is Shanks! It can't be dragon because the theory about Makino being Luffy's mother was already disproved. Also, shanks was visiting Luffy's village a lot of times. Any other possibilities?

Many people suggest that person may be Shanks. Well, my first option is him for now, but i do believe it perhaps someone else.
