No I am not dumb. I am going by what the creator himself tried to emphisis while you are going off your fanboyism for Goku. So going by your example alone. You mean to tell me Goku gave up on saving Earth because he felt his son was stronger than him? How is that even considered a great hero? A real hero would fight even when he knows he is losing. A real hero would never give up to burden somebody else to take his place. Don't forget what kind of trauma Gohan had to go through to save Earth. His super sayain form was not enough to threaten Cell. So your argument about Goku knowing goes out the window.

Goku show his typical saiyan trait. If you say Goku care enough for everyone he should went with Fusion and kill Kid Buu instantly but he push to the side the idea of fusion. This happen after earth got destroyed and his friend and all people died. If he care on what Buu has done before he will not act like that. He should put the priority on killing Kid Buu and revived the earth and human back and not enjoying the fight to the point he and vegeta nearly lost to Kid Buu. They know its not easy to beat Kid Buu and if they die, there was no one that able to defeat kid buu and this evil incarnate will continue destroying the galaxy.

Huh, I think there should be some clarifications about the definition of hero for the thread's purpose.
I mean, some people obviously define heroism by actions, some by power and some by mindset (or any combinations of these). So naturally we're getting different kinds of heroes.

Right u really are dumb Goku didn't give up he already knew he wasn't strong enough to defeat cell Koran told him he wasn't strong enough. But he knew gohan had latent power and believed gohan could tap into it he just didn't know it would take so much to bring it out. U just said Goku only wants to fight so much he would sacrifice the earth and I'm showing u a time Goku chose to give the fight to someone that has a better chance. And Goku needed another body but that's just him putting earth before himself u make urself look dumb dude

Goku knew Vegeta wouldn't fuse with him again dummy that's one reason also yes Goku decided to fight kid buu with his own power but because he didn't know kid buus real ability which is he had infinite energy now Goku was strong enough to defeat buu rather they were equals in power but buu had more energy so Goku made a mistake there. He only needed to fuse b4 to fight the other buu because he knew all their moves because of piccolo and had incredibly strength from goten trunks and ultimate gohan that's why Goku wanted to fuse because buu had enormous power and was very smart to boot each time Goku did what he deemed right and was right

When they fought Super Buu. Goku making a right decision that was a fusion mode but Vegeta refused. He then be given second chance by Kai to do a fusion mode and beat Kid Buu.
Vegeta dont want to fused with him was spoke by Goku and not Vegeta. Sure when Vegeta heard Goku said something like that he will agree without any objection. But that panel point toward Goku/from Goku own perspective. He shows us his saiyan trait(like to fight and testing his strength without caring for anything else) started to influence him. No excuses can be given by you here as Kid Buu was known for his power(destroying a planet casually and Kais afraid of him because he can destroy a galaxy. The one that destroying a galaxy was not Super Buu but Kid Buu dude) and Kid Buu is much stronger than fat Buu.
Goku should know that from Kai and if not he should know that Kid Buu is mindless and can go for destruction without playing around. But his Saiyan selfishness consumed him and he forgot what kid Buu did to planet earth and all human including his friend. He and Vegeta nearly lost the fight with Buu. You see. I was talking the time when they fought Kid Buu and not after that. Sure Goku is stronger than Kid Buu after that arc end.
