This is true. Naruto in Gaiden never showed any quality being a father. At least Goku got a time to spent with Gohan and created a parental bond

Goku also refuses to get a job to support his family (he only farms at Chichi's urging). He also left his family for extended periods of time just to train with Uub and Whis (thus leaving Goten only in the care of Chichi).

At least Naruto holds a job to support his family and only leaves for work related things.

Plus I never said this one is better or that one. In my eyes they are same but Goku was shown spent his time with Gohan and he loves him but that how far he goes. Still not the best father.
