I remember you saying that your favourite characters based on fighting style were Gai, Lee, Neji, Kimimaro and Hebi Sasuke because you enjoy close range taijutsu fighters. Contradictory much?

Good design and being attractive are different things, for example

is a good design but it is not what you would call attractive.

When it comes to female characters, being attractive correlates with superior character design. We aren't talking about some evil male villain. In Mei's case and 90% of the other females in this manga, attractiveness is a sub branch of character design. Although my point was that having a separate category for the two would end up giving an advantage to the most attractive character since there would be multiple categories that said character can easily take while not many other categories remain.

I like close cqc/h2h based fighting styles, but if someone looks unappealing in execution of these fighting styles i don't like it. I do not enjoy the way Tsunade, Sakura, Hinata use martial arts. I do not enjoy Sumo Wrestling but i enjoy to see Capoeria for ex, even though both are martial arts.

Hinata uses the same style of fighting that Neji does. She might be inferior but most of Neji's feats are in part one and Hinata is not far below part one Neji.
