I defend Salad because I like/tolerate her as a character. You proabably do the opposite because of her certain black haired daddy .
Kishi has made it clear he is diffirent from Naruto. Naruto wanted to be a hokage for a long time, Boruto doesn't and has other plans. But he appreciates his father. It's pretty obvious that's Kishi way of making them diffirent. Besides it's better if Boruto isn't 100% like his father and someone really dissimilar from the other hokages can get the position for a change. Don't you think it would be interesting if we see how else the author makes Boruto instead of him following the predicatable path of being a hokage.

* The entire village is destroyed worse than Pain arc ...
* Naruto's character doesn't let him to stay away and let his friends fight for him . (Unlike Tsunade that did nothing but wait for Naruto)

So if you think that Naruto isn't dead , then you must accept he lacks responsibility for the title of hokage ... Because the entire village is destroyed and he's staying silent somewhere trying to save himself .

Uhh If you read the manga, they showed his body moving deep in the ocean barely alive unable to move.

With Naruto all we got was, some kid saying something entirely different regarding death.
For all we know he probably got sent to a different dimension low on chakra and the enemy used this opportunity to attack the village.
As for the village being destroyed, People>>>>>Village. As long as the people are alive, the village can always be rebuilt.

The 8th Hokage if Naruto is indeed dead would be Nara Shikamaru. There is no other shinobi with the skill & intellect to be Kage in the leaf at this time..
Although Hatake could be reassigned/reinstated as rokudaime so all shinobi in the village can be activated were they need to be.

That doesn't make him Kage Material. Like Gai, Lee would make a good team leader but not Hokage. Also we don't know what new things Sakura has learned since ( I know it's nothing but there's room to add anything since there is a huge time skip)

If Sakura say, actually learned genjutsu (which is suppose to be her type) then lee wouldn't win. He can't use Kai because he doesn't have the talent for it so he'd be screwed.

Again if Sakura had actually made an attempt to learn genjutsu.

But returning to my original point: even if lee is stronger it doesn't mean he's make a good Hokage. And Kakashi was the weakest Hokage not Tsunade. If he still had his Sharingan it would be a different story.

More than likely however, if there's a Hokage it is most likely Sarada. You know how this goes. Whenever one of the main characters strives to become Hokage they usually do.

Bolt is more like Sasuke than his dad. And Sarada is more like Naruto than her dad. They both (Boruto and Sarada) idolize each other's fathers. Bolt is already learning under Sasuke. I have a feeling Sarada will become Naruto's disciple like every other Kage does before becoming a Kage.
