i strongly believe its Shisui Uchiha for various reasons. First of all i have a theory, according to the manga you have to kill a person close to you in order to get the mangekyou sharingan. This means that shisui had to kill someone close to him and this would mean he is a murderer. If he had actually done this, he would've been captured by the police as they tried with itachi. according to my theory, you don't have to kill someone close, but to suppress all emotions. the suppression of emotions is then related to the assassination of a person close to you because to kill that person you have to forget about emotions. I believe Itachi and Shisui got their mangekyou this way and then as seen on the manga, shisui handed over his eye to itachi and lost the other one to danzo. Its been said that there are no traces remaining of his body which could mean he was never found dead in the river and was just assumed dead. Shuisui might have implanted two other sharingans in his eyes and after discovering what madara had planed, decided to take over madara's plan and started to act as if he were madara. Besides from this theory , there are some physical similarities, for example, madara had long hair and tobi had short hair Just like shisui. the body flicker technique could also explain some of madara's teleportation and speed, and shisui was known to be a master at it. but as madara does appear during the birth of naruto with long hair, i could say that he was still alive at that time and he then thought shuisui everything before he died, assuming he died somewhere between naruto's birth and shuisuis's apparent death

I also agree but mangekyo i think is supposed to be a defensive measure if you close ones are endangered but EMS is if your family is threatened so they are misleading when they say kill people close to you :/ . So it's supposed to protect.

I read most of the chapters wherein Tobi showed, and analyzed them, well, somehow, brought me to the conclusion that it is Shisui (Well I'm just guessing)

Chapters 500-504 = the birthday of naruto and the attack of the nine tails:

I think it's either Tobi or Izuna aswell. I was against the possibility before, but I was thinking If he is Madara and the readers and everyone on the battlefield knows he's Madara then what is the point of him wearing a mask, anymore. There won't be any sorta shock or anything when he does remove his mask.

If he is Obito then it would be a real shock to everyone and before he does take off his mask most probably Kakashi would be there to see it first hand.

And If Kakashi isn't with Naruto before Tobi takes off the mask then I think the man behind the mask would be Izuna.

And if it's some random guy then there really is no point of wearing a mask

I do not know who the masked guy is and we can not be certain who he or maybe she is until they bring the truth in the series,You know it can be any one. Almost forgot there are people who can not be the masked guy but we can try to fund out. Obito's dead. He died way back in the Kakashi Gaiden chronicles where half his body was crushed under rocks. He had his Sharingan implanted in Kakashi's damaged eye through Rin's medical ninjutsu. Even If Obito Somehow Lived Through That, His Body Would Still Be Stuck under those rocks. Obito was pretty much the black sheep of the Uchiha clan. Chances of Tobi being Obito are less than 5%. If Tobi was Shisui, the first to know this would be Itachi. Tobi is an Uchiha, not someone from the Uzumaki clan. The Uzumaki clan's village was wiped out because they were feared for their Fuuinjutsu, a special sealing jutsu that belonged to the Uzumaki clan. Those who weren't killed scattered to various lands. Anyone who's saying Obito or someone from the Uzumaki clan isn't thinking in terms of what has happened. Obito's Dead, Half his body crushed under rocks. The few Uzumaki clan members that survived are never seen in the storyline. Kushina, Naruto, Mito, Nagato and Karin are the only Uzumaki clan members seen throughout the whole storyline.
