Who do you think would win in a kenjutsu battle between these 2? I personally think Zabuza

People don't seem to understand the question. In terms of straight kenjutsu skill, without other factors or sword powers, then I think that Zabuza is better.

Zabuza. Kisame used that sword for its chakra absorbing ability rather than its blade. Hell, it's a crappy blade. It can't slice, it relies on the scales to rip. Zabuza's sword can also regenerate if broken which is nice in a giant sword fight.

I understood from the start.

swords only. and i'm sticking with kisame. overpowering and outlasting zabuza.
both are around the same intelegence level. and there isn't a massive skill gaa in the swrodsmanship.

kisame is just much stronger and more durable.

Zabuza had, idk, 20ish blades in his back and still managed to kill a whole mob of people with a kunai. Talk about durability and strength.

Kisame's durability doesn't matter since Zabuza never cut someone a second time anyway. With his body cut apart, his durability changes nothing. Zabuza was noted to be physically strong as well. Maybe not on Kisame's level, but still

That's still nothing compared to kisame who had survived a blitzing from KM naruto and then hiroudara was still strong enough to break the yamato's wood stock.
