Sasuke is smarter. But Sakura figured out the full Intangibility technique in a matter of seconds. A feat people attribute to Kakashi. Let's not pretend that Sakura isn't smart.

Doesn't mean he is the smartest because Shikamaru is smarter than him, he just never liked school to get good grades.

Doubt it. Because Shikamaru himself admits that he looked up to Sasuke in just about every department. Not to mention even Sakura figured out the clues faster than him.

The guy is all hype.

Okay I'm just throwing this out there. Sakura figured out Tobi's Kamui the first time she saw it in the Hunt for Itachi Arc.
Tobi said Sasuke couldn't even comprehend his powers. Make what you will of that.

Not really, because as the events were shown proceeding, Sasuke was the first one to figure it out that the attacks slip through and he wasn't even fighting Tobi.
