Who is smarter, Minato or Jiraiya ?

I think it depends on who you're facing with, exactly like Jiraiya battled Pain and Minato faced his own stuent Obito, or Tobi.

1. Minato is very smart and good to find a counter method and strike the oppoennt back. His intelligence seems more use than Jiraiya, but it depends on which person you're facing with. He's good at finding the targets weak point and counter them so easily.

2. Jiraiya has prove his intelligence, but it seems that if he meet a women, then I guess, he will lose or be defeated, that's his weakness.
I am not going to the details Minato is smarter than Jiraiya.

So what's your opinion guys ?

Minato is once in a generation genuis like Oro. Jiriaya has alot of experience which makes him wise and skilled but he is not what you would call a genius

Out of those two, I'd say Minato is quite smarter, not only outside of battle but during combat as well.

Behind the ridiculous pervert facade, Jiraiya's battle tactics are brilliant and got him through wars. Minato must be smart, don't get me wrong but I sense Minato's strength comes from timing rather than general battle smarts.

Going by the knowledge Jiraiya knows and the way he handled himself in his deathmatch i'd say Jiraiya.
