We all know at some point in the Anime/Manga world that best friends fall out and one kills (or almost kills) the other. At that moment they are able to make up with one another

Plus their relationship has to be almost that of a romance/bromance =D

Wasn't really Sasuke alone, it was more like a combination of things. That day was literally a shitty day for Naruto.

While Sasuke is indeed Naruto's non-blood brother, for 2nd best friend, I think it's a toss up between Sakura and Shikamaru? Why not Gaara? Because we haven't seen Gaara spend as much with Naruto as those 2.

Arguably, the 1 character that may surpass Sasuke in this is Kurama because it's become like a twisted version of a boy and his dog.
