Kaguya was probably a virgin mother and got pregnant from eating the tree, Kishi was influenced by Adam and Eve story so maybe it's possible he applied the Virgin Mary story to her as well.

Hagoromo settled with a human because his children have human attributes and look nothing like the Ootsutsuki, and also because he was a hippy and believed in sharing the love.
