to me i think people are destine to be genuis there is hardwork to overcome barriers and there is flanking that is using your brian but not brute force.

Who do you guys think is the greatest genius in Naruto. We have a lot of powerful people, some of them are geniuse based on hard work, and some mostly cuz of their bloodline. How do you rank them ?

My choices
1. Naruto - learned Rasengan in three days, took Rasengan to the next level, where his father and Kakashi failed. Able to use Kyuubi's chakra (not tails, just chakra, Latest chapter may say dat Naruto can now control upto 6tails) at will. Never give up attitude pushes him to greater levels.

2. Minato - Said to be the greatest ninja ever produced by Konoha. Creator of hirashin, rasengan and the shiki fuujin. Said to be a rare decade genius. He is so great that Jiraiya would have bragged.

3. Oro - Said to be once in a decade genius by the professor Sandaime. Part of the genius trio the sannin. Has created many jutsu's and has extensive knowledge of jutsu's.

4. Sasuke - Sharingan wonder boy, has amazing growth, skills wise. Was able to change chidori into multiple variations. Oro complimented that even he was nothing compared to Sasuke at his age. Mastery of Sharingan and CS gives him an edge during fights. (Now there is no CS but he has MS, no idea what he has done with his MS)

5. Shikamaru - Said to have genius intellect. Is able to imagine over 200 possiblities during a fight. Able to change strategies to include new member in an instant. His plans has a low failure rate.

Naruto- not genius, just has really good control of chakra, and amazing stamina.
Minato- Not genius, but pretty smart, Once again has the same control of chakra.
Oro- Not genius, but has good ideas, but really just twisted with power
Sasuke- Not genius, but smarter than any other ninja, of course he is the pride of the uchiha becuase he had to comete with itachi.
Shikamaru- GENIUS, he could beat any of the listed shinobi above without even thinking it through, he is a pure genius.

Rikudou Sennin is my answer. The guy that starts it all is pretty much a genius. The fact that he became the strongest to ever existed even after hundreds of years puts his intelligence on another level.

Still Alive(no particular order):
1. Kakashi-well-rounded shinobi and able to master sharingan in foreign body
2. Shikamaru-strategist
3. Tsunade-application of chakra in her taijutsu and medical prowess
4. Sasuke
5. Raikage- using of lightining charkra to increase speed and power

(maybe mizukage if we see more of her using all her affinities and keke genkai)

Naruto learned how to use Rasengan in 3days then he atacked Tsunade and it was a failure then he mastered it in a week when he hit Kabuto with Rasengan so he is a true genius and Sasuke and Kakashi only learned powerfull jutsus because of the sharingan copy method

actually itachi was a genuis. he masterd sharingan at 8 and did a full katon fire style jutsu at 6 on his first try. became a anbu captain at 13

but most likely kakashi was a true genius

Genius means ability to use all brain cells so at the top; Shikamaru, minato(covers naruto), konohamaru(he covers the third n asuma), kakashi (covers the second) n kabuto(covers oruchimaru). Shikamaru is the brightest. he fond a way to win during their exams without actually winning n defeated hidan who was immmortal by the way. I dnt want to hear a thing about uchihas, these guys have their eyes2thank4all there battle wins half if nt all the time, nt their brains.
