It's annoying how some people use the word "Otaku" in their statements. Otaku is a Japanese term for people with obsessive interests of any particular theme, topic, hobby or form of entertainment (commonly the anime and manga fandom).
They are "Otakus" everywhere, whether its in anime/manga or in star wars,harry potter and etc. I don't particular have a problem with Otakus only if the keep it to the healthy side or you can be a balanced person who enjoys stuff without indulging to deep into it.
Point is there is nothing wrong if keep watching/reading anime/movies/books/manga as they are a form of entertainment with the exception of today's modern "music", if you enjoy those then you seriously have a serious problem.
