Out of all the ideas of accomplishing peace in the series, Obito's idea of allowing everyone to live out their dreams via genjutsu sounds pretty damn good and feasible.

i dont even know how to reply to this because yes its feasible and its perfect for peace and yet it seems wrong to a human simply because we cant even imagine the thought of having our free will taken from us

Point is you wouldn't really know it was fake right? You would think it is normal...

I don't think most ninja would be capable of telling the difference, Obito could even make it seem as if the ally shinobi won the war.
As to whether they would be mindless zombies, I don't think that would be the case but it would depend entirely on who is casting it and their intentions (e.g. Madara would probably create a hell), every character that has had genjutsu cast on them still had free-will, they simply had little to no input over the stimuli they experience, which may or may not be the case with infinite tsukuyomi.

Personally I´d welcome the Mugen Tsukuyomi, but I can fully understand too the feelings of those fighting against it in the series, as they still have their hopes and dreams intact, unlike Obito and Madara. And despite all of this resistance against his plans, Obito still seems so 'good' in a sense the way he sympathizes with his fellow shinobi, telling them they´ve endured enough and even reaching out to them with the words: "Just lay there quietly. You´ve endured enough..."

I must say, Madara and Obito both got my respect and admiration for the way they seek to establish what is really the only way towards true peace. Perfection is a lie, the imperfection in perfection itself is the fact that it can´t satisfy everyone. I love it how Kishimoto made this series, setting a huge war between two sides who are both right in their own ways, the world coming together to push themselves for a change for the better, and the ones who seek to force the final solution to the world's problems, at least for a while for all it´s worth.

One reason I can think of is that the world and each person's life would be controlled by the caster of the jutsu. Individuals would have no influence within the illusion, and ultimately they can be subjected to horrific experiences or forced to worship Obito as a god.

It might sound good at first, but I have no doubt it would gradually become a sinister dictatorship after a while.

For people like Obito and Madara, who have become so jaded by the reality of the shinobi world, it's perfectly feasible. They have nothing to lose by abandoning reality for an illusion. But everyone else? The people they'd meet, the people they'd fall in love with, the people they'd have families with, they'd all be little more than illusions. Who, if they had the real thing, would abandon all of that for a lie?

For some reason Im counting on InnerSakura to wake Sakura up and tell her this is all fake. Kuruma wakes Naruto up and tell him to remember the pain blah.blah.blah. reveals her hinted feelings of companionship for NAruto, he loves him like a brother/owner/father lol. And Sasuke gets some sharringan upgrade to synchronize with the jutsu thingy and then breaks himself out
